Looks like Huzzah Hobbies is allowing people to reserve tables.

I'm going to try and see if I can snag one for the 25th.

Ok, I was able to reserve a table for Saturday July 25th at noon.  We can only have up to 6 people though; so if you're going to show up please let me know as this is a first come first serve basis.

The store will require you to wear a mask while inside it.  If you are going to show up and need one, let me know and I'll bring some spare masks.

Sure.  Though make it clear that the store is limiting how many people we can show up for the game.

Yeah, then theres the possibility of Firesprocket coming too.  So probably best not to put this up on Facebook now that I think about it.

If Firesprocket and/or daryk cant make it, then I was thinking about inviting someone else who is sort of local.

Went to the doctor yesterday and while we have rule out the infection returning in my leg, there is something else going on.  What that is I don't know yet.  But it isn't an emergency situation as before so I'm going to continue to play it safe and will not be there this month.  I have at least one more MRI and potentially 2 specialists in my future to clear before I'm going to be out for socials.

Correction to my earlier statement is that they will be doing an ultrasound and not an MRI to look for clots again.  At this point I'm just playing it cautiously.  I want to get out and game, but not willing to get severely ill because I don't know exactly what the issue is.

So for those who were not able to make it to the game this weekend, here's a rough AAR.

The company the campaign is centered around (Huzzah's Hussars) was tasked to make contact with another company of mechs who claimed to be part of the planetary security forces, but it was confirmed that no planetary units were operating in the area.

It quickly became clear these mechs were hostile as they closed the distance to the Hussar's.  The fight started off with 11 mechs from the Hussar company (the Scorpion wasn't present as it was taken out with an AC20 shot to the head in the previous engagement) and 8 mechs from the unidentified company.  The order of battle was as follows:

Hussars
Wolverine 6M
P.Hawk 1D
Jatska's Exterminator
daryk's P.Hawk
Ostscout 7J
Tiny's Vulcan
Shatterhawk (Shadowhawk w/ AC20)
LTC Orion
Matt's Orion
Marauder Bounty Bunter
Warhammer 7A

OPFOR
Ostroc 2CS
Starslayer 2C
Mongoose Gunslinger
Osprey 15
Catapult C1b
Black Knight 6b
Champion 1N2
Custom Grasshopper

The first couple turns were spent with both sides establishing screens for their long range fire support.  The Champion took a surprisingly amount of damage from some lucky accurate shooting which caused a PSR that it just barely managed to fail causing it to fall; this gave initiative to the Hussars as the OPFOR then tried to cover the Champion as it pulled back with the Ostroc taking point to try and absorb fire.

The Ostroc and Exterminator both received a sizeable amount of damage with the Exterminator suffering internal damage to its LA.  The Ostroc pulled back to some trees for some cover and the Exterminator pulled back behind a hill, but the Ostroc came under fire again which had damage go internal on its LL critting its hip and foot actuator which then caused it to fall over.

As the Hussars continued to advance, the Shatterhawk then started to come under fire.  The Ostroc managed to stand back up, but then fell over again when it took a gyro critical.  The Gunslinger Mongoose took a engine crit as it started to take damage to its LT and began to withdraw from the fight with the Vulcan and Wolverine in hot pursuit.  The Champion suffered an ammo explosion from one of its LB-10X bins being critted causing the pilot to fall unconscious followed by subsequently falling over again.

The Ostroc suddenly detonated; the pilot is suspected to have self-destructed his mech, but there isn't much left to confirm.  The OPFOR was clearly in retreat at this point with the Hussars advancing.  The Gunslinger Mongoose managed to evade the Vulcan and Wolverine to leave the battle.  The Starslayer and Grasshopper were seen shooting at their own immobile Champion.  The Champion pilot manages to wake up and stand to disengage with the rest of his team trying to cover him, but a shot from the LTC Orion finished it off.  The Shatterhawk had lost its LA and was close to losing its LT while also being internal on its RT and RA.  It managed to pull back out sight of the OPFOR though and was able to walk off the field.

Thats when we decided to call it.  The Hussars' objective was to confront the unidentified mechs, determine their status as being friend or foe and (if possible) capture a pilot for interrogation if they proved to be hostile.  With the capturing of the Champion, the Hussars completed all their tasks.  However, they were unable to salvage much due to the extensive damage to the Champion and the Ostroc.

Notable salvage was 2 ERLLs, and 2 streak SRM2s

Surprisingly, there wasn't a single head hit in the whole game.  Kinda weird...However the Shatterhawk almost had a 1 pointer get a through-armor crit on its CT;  a gyro crit did manage to find its way from its RT to the CT; it has no components in its RT...

I updated the company spreadsheet of for all the needed repairs to the mechs.

Definitely!

Was a good match, was lucky to make it out of that with no real casualties to the Hussar's side.  Though some extensive repairs will be needed and a well deserved reload of ammo.  The lack of head-hits is quite curious indeed, not sure I really noticed, but now that you mention that is correct, not a single one.

Next comes the part of interrogation, given that we saw one self explode himself and the two others attempt multiple times to kill the one we captured, all appropriate actions to prevent suicide will be taken.  To include checking for cyanide teeth or other hidden bodily compartments.

Glad you were able to stop by and say hi.  We are planning on playing the 22nd of August for the next game.  If you can make it then, awesome!  I usually have spots available for people who hop in and out of the campaign.

Both are fine with me.  However, the company will have to acquire a different engine for the Scorpion if you want to upgrade it to double heat sinks.  The CASE will also have to be purchased/traded for; but is starting to become more and more commonly found as it was reintroduced in the IS in 3036.  The turret can be fabricated by the techs given enough time.

I cant remember...who got the ammo explosion on the Champion?  Was it Matt's Orion or the Marauder?  Or was it someone else?  I'm trying to give out the MVP award and it was going to go to the mech pilot who scored the ammo crit because that essentially allowed you all to capture the Champion's pilot.

It was something that Spacecat was driving as he was making the roll.  As to what did it....I THINK it was not the ltac. So Marauder or whammy probably.

I remember it was something that was hitting the Champion on its right side which wasn't the Warhammer.
