3 Six ship Squadrons and 1 Two ship Command Flight.

I really hate FM FS for pushing that agenda

I feel the need to point out that not a single FS Naval Design carries 20 ASF.

Fox/Avalon only carry 12 (Fighters/Shuttles)
Davion-II & Conquistador wings are only 18 Fighters  (No Command Lance there)
Robinson is 24 Fighters  (4 Squadrons, Still No Command Lance)
New Syrtis has a whopping 120 + 4 Squadrons of Shuttles (24)  (Fighters can have loads of options, Shuttles have no Command unit)
Mjolnir from the LC have an even 36 because half the nation never mentions using a command flight.

The original fluff for FS Wings from the HDSB was the following.

Regimental Wings (attached to mech regiments) were "around 20"
Fleet Wings were "about the same as Regimental Wings"

I've long felt that the Regimental wings used "Around" in there to point out that the DS carrying a Mech Regiment varied and could give you anywhere from 18 (3 Overlords) to 54 (27 Leopards), and averaged out to something like an Overlord, 4 Unions, 3 Leopards (20ish), & the rest in cargo, but varied from Regiment to Regiment.

Fleet Wings on the Other hand were a Trio of Leo-CVs = 18, or in later years, the Fleet Wing is in the RCT Command Conquistador (18).

So don't feel shoehorned into having to be 20, the creators of the Davion-II & Conquistador certainly didn't.

Given the Leo-CV is the most common fighter mover in the IS, I'll really never get behind the idea that all wings are 20.  Makes no sense.
Let alone the issue of Regimental Wings when every unit has a different allotment of DS assigned to it.  Ugh.

Need some help. I remember reading the Spirits had some almost pure Protomech Galaxys and the only one I really find is the Zeta Galaxy the Bloos Spirits won from the Snow Ravens. Was that a majority Protomech Galaxy under the Snow Ravens?

Yes it was. The Ravens created Zeta Galaxy in the first place with the Spirits' help, along with their help in creating the Cecerops and Chrysaor Protos together, and it was built around its ProtoMechs.

Cargo is less but I have 5 drop collars and 3x as much armor as the Congress. Is the type of armor correct for the time period? I usually use FerroCarbide and would have 300/facing.

DHS is enough for all weapons at same time.

No LF Battery is 11 billion cheaper and 7800 tons more cargo.

I... just don't think that protomech pilots are considered anything better or even similar to the freebirth mechwarrior in clans, but is it just my ignorance or bias? Consider their social class, a regular mechwarrior seems to be superior to a washout pilots who get the chance of repechage, whatever the warrior is trueborn or freeborn.

For the first generation of Protomechs, agreed.  That's why the Protomech AC didn't exist.

But by the end of the Wars of Reaving, you're already at 2 generations of Pilots, easy.  By the time of the ilClan, we're at 20 generations, and I'd be surprised if Hell's Horses, Raven, and the Homeworlds haven't already set aside sibkos specifically as Protomech sibkos.

While they may not be "Mechwarrior" elite, they might be looked at the same level as an Elemental.

And going back to the Hell's Horses, they're the ones that put first-time failures in to tanks and use them offensively.  If anyone was going to develop Protomech Artillery, it would be the Horses, and they would also be quickly used on Combat Vehicles just like the ACs are.

It loads pretty quick for me, but this laptop has an SSD for a hard drive so it's pretty fast in general.  I will grant on a regular HDD it takes its sweet time to open, especially the first time since you restarted.

I made a slightly shorter FN 49, this one 35 inches long with a 14.33 inch barrel.  The reason it shrank a little was because I redid the stock to have a pistol grip mounted to it, specifically taken off the Skorpion and remachined to fit.  Off the shelf components and all that.  The slightly shorter barrel did jack all to mitigate the muzzle report and flash problems that the slightly larger version had, so it too was not selected for the same reasons.  The Marauders battalion briefly experimented with a suppressed version of the rifle before rejecting it as well in favor of their suppressed MC51SDs.

Hey, I said I was done with the Boyko rifle, I'm still fiddling with the other stuff!

DeKirk aerospace determined not to lose their contract has decided to put up a straight upgrade of their Congress D out.

DeKirk aerospace is proud to present the Congress G (for the love of God don't ask the E and F) Keeping the same good speed this 780,000 ton ship has an expanded airwing of 20 fighters. The redesigned armament will make this ship a feared foe on the fore and aft broadsides are 8 NL55 providing great all around capability. But the crown jewel is on the nose when the distances close the nose swings around revealing 10 NAC 30 with 60 rounds per gun a crushing armament. Other than that all faces mount 5 twin mount ER Large Lasers and 5 dual mount shell firing AMS with 50 tons of ammo per bay. Armor has been improved being about 10 percent greater without resorting to more advanced and expensive types than the Congress C. The new congress also mounts a large naval Comm-Scanner for those independent operations. The only place where this ship has less of other than costing more is a smaller cargo bay at only 140k tons from the C's 160k.
