Yama Main Battle tank.

Max Speed - 86kph
Armament - Prime version - 1 x Gauss Rifle, 2 x Medium pulse lasers, 2 x Light machine guns.

The Yama is the standard MBT of the Horses Touman, capable of keeping pace with heavy Mech's and featuring an armoured Motive system to sustain that mobility regardless of enemy fire.  The turret mountings are fully modular but the bow mounted MG's are fixed.  The standard version mounts a Gauss rifle and a pair of turret mounted medium pulse lasers.  Two tons of ammo service the Gauss rifle.  Other Clans consider the Yama under-gunned but it's generally not meant to be the big gun of a Star. Its an anvil unit, built to give and take fire whilst lighter vehicles engage and destroy targets.

Yeah with the Yama I wanted something that's no frills. But she is modular, albeit in a different way.  The MG's and armoured motive system are both fixed, but the turret mounting and its turret basket can be lifted out and swapped in with a different 'variant' in a semi-modular way.  Only downside is, you need to do the conversion in a dropship or at a field repair base.

For that weight it is actually pretty fast, it would fit well with other calvary tanks.

Indeed and that's basically its role, its not overly well armed but you can't ignore it for sure and its got the protection to take a fair licking and keep ticking, there's also a series of turret variants for differing roles and is planned to be the most common of the heavy tanks in my revised Hells Horses Touman.  There will be a few heavier but they will be fairly rare with the main focus still being on cavalry mobility.
