I'll go 100.
-
i'll toss in 50.
-
I can put in $25 for this
-
$50.
I'll be in Gen Con next week. Will do my best to stay current on this thread but there may be a slight delay if this thing funds during the con.
Mike
-
Put me down for 25.
-
I will only be charging $500.00 for this one since I will be working with an existing Mech master pattern, not starting from scratch. You can go ahead and send your pledges to my Paypal account now if you like. PM me if you don't already have my PP info.
Changes will include:
New head/new lower arms/hands/sword/new left shoulder pad & elbow shield/new knee armor/new torso guns. Torso/codpiece armor design is different. Thigh portion of the leg is now rounded. Move the shoulder sockets out, because the arms collide with the legs (especially the left arm).
Anything else?
-
A little short this week but I can go for $25. 8)
-
Just updated amount need to $500.
-
I'll pledge $25. I'm really excited for this one and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
-
With GenCon right around the corner, I am out for this one. Best of luck, folks.

Could you maybe possibly do something about the fact that the existing mini's lower legs are massively out of scale with the rest of the mini, and the existing art? Turning those oversized kneepads into the rounded versions shown in the Red Reaper art might help, but that doesn't address the fact that the lower leg is thicker than the thigh. They need to be scaled down but maybe 20%.
-
A little late to the fan funding party in general but Id be happy to throw in 30$ for this beasty
-
My $25 has been sent.
-
$100 payment sent.
-
sent!
-
Updated first post with current total of $355, let me know if I missed any.

Sent my money a couple days ago
-
maybe I'm completely ignorant but who do I send my $$$ too?
-
To B3. He's doing the sculpting and is coordinating payments. If you need his information you should send him a private message on this board to get it, he'll include all the needed information, unless he's already sent you that information based on your last post.
-
Any update on where we are with this?
-
Still only $355 out of $500 pledged.
-
I'm in for $100.
-
so i count $45 left.

Just sent my pledge amount to B-3. O0
-

Don't sweat it.
It's pretty clear that the major bottlenecks lie in mold making and release cycle*, not in sculpting. You, sir, are a machine. :D
* - I don't mean that as a criticism of IWM. I know managing releases is tricky, and you guys are giving us all kinds of cool stuff.
-
Who's in a rush? Myself I just love to be in the process of bringing something awesome to the community.
-
Have the vouchers gone out on this one yet? I've got a shopping cart full of mechs over on the IWM website, but I was holding out until this voucher came through. ^-^
-
Not yet. I'm waiting to hit the "Send Order" button myself.

OK, per the QCC, got the heed shaved doon a bit, changed the neck piece, attached the feet to the shins and thighs to shins, added a hand guard on the Left hand and filed the hips down to get the legs closer to the pelvis. Number of pieces 6.

Oh thank god, I just built a the Black Knight and I kept losing parts!
-

-
Can we see the updated version? I'm glad to hear you brought the hips in. The legs are the worst part of the original design.
Now that the first six have been funded, when can we expect to see a new poll for the next six?
-
Great work Berhle, looks really good O0
-
I'll get some pics shot in a bit. IWM is waiting to hear from the company who owns the Battletech copyrights as to weather they are going to renew IWM's licensing to produce miniatures. As soon as that happens we will get moving on the next batch of Battletech awesomeness (or not)...
-
Well, that could be an interesting turn of events.

:o What!!!
I don't see why they wouldn't renew.
-
Hips look much better. Thanks, Behrle.
-
:o What!!!
I don't see why they wouldn't renew.
I wouldn't get too worked up over the licensing statement. It's probably a pretty common occurrence that happens every few years, but we don't ever hear about it. Heck, I'm working on renewing a TON of license agreements at my job right now, both licenses with vendors whose stuff we use and clients who license our stuff. It doesn't mean any of them are at much risk for not being renewed.
Anyway, back on-topic: It always bugged me that a mech named the Black Knight had neither a sword nor a shield. I'm glad to see that has been rectified in such a beautiful fashion! I also think the one-piece legs look great. With that slightly-bent-knee look, I've been plenty happy with the posability I can get from just a hip joint, but that is just me.
-
Yeah it's prolly nothing, it happens every coupla years I think. The knees are slightly bent and one foot is completely flexed and one is completely extended, which will add to poseability.
-

Even better! Can't wait to get one of these brutes!
-
Will the first DA Black Knight fit onto those legs?
I'm not much for one-off's so probably only want the legs for my two or three other black knights that I haven't painted yet :D
-
I'm personally going to have a custom Black Knight config that has a sword and shield; shouldn't be too terribly hard to make one out of the new chassis. Then I'll just use this guy for those. :D
-
Yep, the legs are interchangeable, though you will need to shave the original ball joints down to get them closer to the hips.
-
Yeah, I can't wait to get a couple of these to modify into other variants... >:D
-
OK, I hand delivered the Red Reaper master this mornin, so look for it to appear for sale soon(ish?)! :D
Also, IWM has gotten the O0 for another year, so we can go ahead with the next round of Fan Financing! Speck is master of ceremonies as far as that's concerned so...take it away Speck! :D
-

Thats not a big deal. Cool! 8)

What's the word on the release of this bad boy?
-
What's the word on the release of this bad boy?
It's been very, very naughty and they won't release it until it learns how to behave. :D
-
What's the word on the release of this bad boy?
Nope not yet. Mold room was busy at end of year finishing molds for Chaos Wars figures for Kickstarter.
-
It's been very, very naughty and they won't release it until it learns how to behave. :D
Or he encountered a King Arthur Mech and lost his arms and legs but claims "It's just a flesh wound!" :D

You do realize I read this thread and that I'm crazy?
Tempt me enough and I will find a way to canonize that scene :D (if I ever find a way to get it past editing without getting nuked ;))

Oh yeah you gotta do it! :D

If you can get your hands on one, there's always the Highlander Claymore mini, or if you can acquire the proper MFUK Weapons Pack, one of the 2 has the bits needed to convert a Highlander into the Claymore variant. Those Weapons Packs are a LOT easier to find than a Production Claymore mini! :o

So in 3151, the resurgent FWL decide to resurrect the Knights of the Inner Sphere but to avoid confusion with the RoTS Knights of the Sphere, the resurrected unit is called "the 1st Knights of Ekke Ekke Ekke Ekke Ptang Zoo Boing" which can then lead to your scene with the Black Knight BL-X-KNT defending a bridge . . . :D
-
NI!
-
B3,if the shrubbery is funded will you do the sculpting ?
-
Yes, but not another shrubbery. :D
-
I guess I'll have to kit bash a Red Reaper and replace the sword with....
....a herring!

Just realised the Black Knight BL-X-KNT should be defending a bridge against an Excalibur EXC-B2 piloted by a mechwarrior named Arthur Pendragon :D
-
Will be available at Origins and then after the show on IWM website.
-
Awesome! Thank you for the update. Have a great time at origins
-

Thanks, I will. Just a few days to go.

Anyone have this one yet?
-
Only on my wanted list
-
Anyone have this one yet?
I bought 2 at Gen Con, then later discovered I'd already ordered 2 from Aries Games & Miniatures. :-[ Doh! #P
-
How do they look?
-
Ordered one, but will take some time for it to arrive at my German retailer and then some more time, for all the minis in the order to arrive. So probably not anytime soon :(
Would also be very interested in pictures.
-
If you'll pardon the crappy photography, you can see one assembled and painted on the left in this picture I took at GenCon. I got about the worst angle possible, as the sword all but disappeared, but in my opinion, the sword looked good:

The one on the far right looks like an old man with a walker :crazy2:
-
i don't have access to it at the moment, but i assembled a red reaper a couple weeks ago. the only nitpick i had about it was that this particular model was a case where i would have liked three piece legs (foot / lower leg / upper leg) for greater posability. this particular instance felt like it called for the ability to for a bit more dramatic / dynamic posing.
