WiGE - Theory and Practice
« on: 20 June 2019, 15:34:56 »
I think there used to be something 'bout cruise-5 wasn't actually enough to launch and maneuver with polite target numbers.

I'm threatening to land BA squads with some kind'a DMM, which means five MP to enter new hexes, two to ground and unload, and two more to maneuver furring the approach?  xp

And this glosses over any issues when they first kick off from the DropShip …

What am I getting wrong?

I have no idea what you're talking about.
I'm rarely right... Except when I am.  ---  Idle question.  What is the BV2 of dread?
Apollo's Law- if it needs Clan tech to make it useable, It doesn't deserve those resources in the first place.
Sure it isn't the most practical 'mech ever designed, but it's a hundred ton axe-murderer. If loving that is wrong I don't wanna be right.

I think he's talking about the specific case where the WiGE is kicked out of a DropShip (in atmosphere) and lands to deliver Battle Armor.  If you want at least a +2 Target Movement Modifier (TMM) for that BA squad on the turn it disembarks, it looks like you need something in excess of 9/14 movement...

WiGEs initially sounded so good to me, but have belly flopped EVERY time I've used them due to some of their odd rules.
