Defender-Class / Battle of Cholame Question
« on: 29 April 2014, 20:25:26 »
Howdy

I was reading the older Federated Suns source book, to bone up on the FSS Golden Lion's history.
The older book notes the ship was used as part naval task force operating in 2790, where it was ambushed in the former FedSuns Star System of Cholame.   The battle notes, it was ambush that started as fighter attack and grew to become the big battle we know as the Battle of Cholame that lasted six weeks.

The Defender's Fluff says the battle happened in 2787.  Is this errant?

Thank you.

Handbook House Davion also notes the Battle of Cholame as taking place in 2790, so in this particular instance the newer fiction (Field Report AFFS 2765 & Handbook House Davion) is correct and trumps the old.

So the date is not errata.

Look, dude, when you are a real mechwarrior you don't need to get all dressed up in cooling suits and cool helmets to work on your mech. You just strip down to your 1980s panties and crop top vest and start wrenchin' it.
