Overview:
An upgraded Watchman produced for the Capellan March by Kallon Industries,
starting just prior to the FedCom Civil War. With both afraid of what Katherine
Steiner-Davion's usurpation of the throne of New Avalon - and Jackson Davion's
refusal to stop her - might mean, James Sandoval and George Hasek began to
establish links between the Draconis and Capellan Marchs to resist her actions.
Although the Draconis Combine's incursion in 3062 and Duke Sandoval's response
put an end to that collaboration, the design data for the Watchman had been
passed along it.

Using as many components from the Enforcer and Enforcer III as possible, Kallon
Industries began turning out Watchmen of this upgraded type as fast as
possible, starting in 3061. Demand far outstripped Kallon's ability to supply,
and both Johnston (in 3063) and General Motors (in 3065) began producing
examples from their New Syrtis and Kathil plants. This proved fortunate when
Kallon's Talon plant was destroyed during the Jihad.

General Motors and Johnston (the latter briefly interrupted by the Capellan
occupation of New Syrtis) have continued production at a steady, if slow, rate,
for a variety of customers; the AFFS, Republic Armed Forces, Calderon
Protectorate, Aurigan Coalition and numerous private security and mercenary
concerns.

Capabilities:
Designed along the same lines as the original Watchman, the -4CM upgrade uses
as many off the shelf components as possible. Its armour is the same
ferro-fibrous composite matrix produced for contemporary Enforcer and Enforcer
III models, and it uses the same model of extended-range large laser, as well
as commonly produced marks of small-gauge pulse laser and twin-tube SRM
launcher.

Deployment:
Currently, every planetary and March Militia command in the Capellan March
maintains a number of these Watchmen, as do many regular formations, its low
cost, reliability and solid capabilities endearing it to quartermasters,
commanders and mechwarriors alike. For similar reasons, it is a popular choice
in the mercenary market.

Variants:
A common modification is to remove the small pulse laser and replace it with a
flamethrower.
