Is there a collection of images for pilots anywhere?

MekHQ has a pretty good supply of them built in.

I've compiled a few but I tend not to distribute them because of possible copyright issues as a good number are pulled from animated TV/Movies.

What I feel safe sharing is buried in this zip file that also contains a bunch of enhancements for MekHQ that I made.  It's not much but still something is better than nothing.

I do rather like having my TO&E being a bit more colorful, helps me organize things too.

I'm definitely interested! Especially what they do and how to install them.

I have mine already setup so all you have to do is unzip then take that data folder and put it inside the MekHQ folder(you'll know it's the right one because there is another data folder there).  If it asks to overwrite it's fine because of the pre-existing data folder is all.

I am extremely interested; I'm always on the hunt for new portraits.

I use EVE: Online character portraits, however they would not be redistributable due to copyright. These are easily obtainable for personal use through a site called EVE Who.

May ask what those mechfiles are exactly?

A collection of nearly two decades of custom designs.  Mechs, Tanks, ASFs, lots of stuff in there.  Min-maxed, oddball weirdness, a bit of revisionist history, and what ever zany idea hit me at the time.

Some all new.  Some based off exiting designs.

Probably a few different names for the same mech in there.  I've probably missed a few and gotten forgetful in my old age.

Which I haven't actually updated that archive with stuff I've brought over from previous archives/designers or designed since then.  I'll consider updating for that since this current situation has freed up a lot of time.

I am not the Dr. Banzai from Facebook/Youtube. That person is a hateful person that does not represent the spirit of Buckaroo Banzai nor its fandom.

Got any others?

1000ish more in a different style but I'm on the fence in terms of whether some of them might have copyright issues. Most are randomly generated by me but a few are probably copyrighted images that I altered. Not sure if that's fair use or not.

Better safe than sorry.

I mean I probably could put the rest of my pilot images in my public share archive quite safely because this is such a small distribution that it wouldn't even be noticed by the appropriate parties but all it takes is one IP owner to ruin our fun.

Silly question, but which folder do I need to put them into?

Mine should be setup so that you can put the zip in the mekhq folder and right click and unzip here and should work just fine.

It'll probably throw up a few warnings about existing files and if you want to overwrite them.  Which you should be able to do without issue.
