Fire Mandrill - Kindraa Payne
« on: 19 October 2011, 16:04:44 »
Hi,

This is my first minidragon ... Delphyne Protomech i've painted. It doesn't look like BT, but nevertheless it is a nice mini. Was fun to paint it. What do you think ?

Nice work. You're right, it doesn't look BT at all, but it is pretty cool.
The insignia is Clan Fire Mandrill

First time I've seen one of those and won't be buying one as it looks like something out of D&D instead of CBT

Love the paint job though!

Sorry, forget to mentioned it. This Delphyne belongs to the Kindraa Payne of clan Fire Mandrill.

Thanks for your compliments. I thought that the color of that Kindraa would perfectly match that sculpt. :D

Incredible work (this and the fighter in the other thread!).

I can't even decide which paint job I think is better. They are both plain awesome :)

One question though, Wotan, where did you manage to secure the Delphyne miniature. I was looking around for one after I had seen your paint design for the first time and couldn't find one anywhere...

Very nice paint job  [rockon] !!

I love this protomech.

Do you plan on painting a whole point of them ? Would be nice to see some in actual action on a table ;) !

By the way, Camospecs have no Delphyne at all, which is a shame ....

By the time i painted the first Delphyne, i also painted this Bombardier.

Now i added another LRM boat for this unit. Hope to complete a full star of mechs ... sometimes.

And finally i can Show a slightly modified Cauldron-Born Resculpt. I shortened the should weapon turrets as it Looks absolutely crazy in the original way. Now it give more the Impression of the old sculpt with the improvement of a hip.

Love what you've done to the Cauldron Born. It actually looks like it might be able to move, rather than all mine which look like statues.

Interesting idea. A Baboon might work well for that unit, too. Need to check if the Mandrills use it.

I'm planning to complete that mech star with a Nova D and a Predator.
But not sure how i will integrate the Delphynes in that unit. Obviously the second star will be of mixed Units. But i'm no specialist for Fire Mandrill Units. Maybe someone share his ideas ? More protos ? Some Kind of battlearmor or some tanks ?
