(Answered) Base skill level for clan mechs

In the clan invasion rulebook it says that the base skill for clan mechs is gunnery 3 and pilot skill 4 for all clan mech warriors.
Is that factored into the battle value of the clan mechs?

It is, yes

i read that wrong. the BV on the record sheets is for 4/5 pilots. you must multiply by 1.32 for 3g/4p skill

I was just going off the first page of the clan invasion rulebook where it says clan mech pilots are standard 3/4.

From a lore perspective, this is how it roughly works out. From a gameplay perspective you have to pay for the extra ability - the BV math isn’t interested in why the skill is 3/4, just that it is 3/4

As a follow-up, p. 18 of the Clan Invasion book also notes:

"If using the default Clan values, the increased Battle Value amount resulting from this must be paid."
