Fairly straightforward question: can Conventional Fighters be part of a Fighter Squadron (SO page 25)?
The rules presented there consistently use the term "fighter", which is defined as referring to both conventional and aerospace fighters (TW page 20). However, the rules for heat in a fighter squadron (SO page 27) seem to assume that all members are ASF, since CF handle heat differently.
All other squadron rules would be generally compatible with a pure CF squadron or mixed CF and ASF squadron, outside of needing to adjust movement rules for the squadron (using the CF or ASF rules as appropriate for "pure" squadrons, or whichever is more restrictive for mixed squadrons - see TW page 74-93 for aerospace movement rules).
