I'm confused. Which of the latest TRO and Record Sheet books have the retconned Unseen 'Mechs in them, i.e. Marauder, Rifleman, Ost 'Mechs, Phoenix Hawk, Valkyrie, Warhammer, Wasp, Stinger, etc.? I'm playing a campaign during the 3rd Succession War, but am I right that the Record Sheets and TRO: Succession Wars and Record Sheets and TRO: 3039 don't have them?

Record Sheets 3039 unabridged has the record sheets for the original unseens and their era appropriate variants.
-
Only the images were affected, the stats never changed.

Thanks

Check the downloads section of the main site, it has a PDF of the ones in the new big box set.

….even in cases where the stats probably SHOULD have been changed.

BattleTech Commandment 6: Thou shalt not invalidate ye olde sheets

Even with the new hands on the Ostscout?

Well...it always had hands statwise...

The original Ostscout didn't have hands, it had those weird sensor spikes.

The record sheet always had hands.
Correction: I believe there was an intermediate RS that removed the hands, but the original and current RS have hands.
-
What's the current record sheet in? Because my copy of RS:3039 Unabridged does not have hands, just lower arm actuators.
-
Record Sheets Succession Wars.
I thought the latest 3039 did as well, but I just looked and you are correct that one does not have hands. But the 2010 RS 3039u did have hands. Then the RS3039 (2007?) did not.

The original TRO 3050 from the 90's had some errors, they were fixed in the 2nd printing.
The Phoenix Hawk 3M had single heat sinks in the 1st printing, corrected to double sinks in the later version

You newcomers with your fancy double heat sinks. :)

As did the Blackjack and Scorpion.

The point was that the original stats for the mechs that were affected by the lawsuit were not removed from the game and could still be used as-is , just without official artwork to represent them.
The inclusion of the 2750 downgrades filled in the missing units until the proper resolution could be found. Was it a a perfect solution? No, but there wasn't much else that could be done at the time without an extensive and expensive retcon.

Seems crazy....
Almost as crazy as having more than 1 kind of autocannon. ;D
-
i like to imagine there being this ongoing raging argument amongst the FASA staff about the ostscout
"THE ART DOESN'T HAVE HANDS!"
"IT DESERVES HANDS YOU COWARD"
"I TOOK THEM OFF THE RECORD SHEET WHAT NOW?!"
"YOU'RE A CHILD!"

My favourite error from that era was the UrbanMech in the 1996 vintage RS: 3050 had no internal structure diagram. It was a common joke in our group at the time that you couldn't destroy it outside of a lucky double one because you couldn't mark off internal structure damage on the sheet.

You forgot Fractional Accounting for all those 3025/26 Vehicles.
I think Commandment-6 got tossed out long ago.
Which is a shame because in most cases there was a simple alternative that wouldn't have invalidated those RS.
-
In order to forget one must know in the first place.
The FF change was the most widespread (if minor) change. What else have they done besides the above changes?
-
Some vehicles (from 3026) were tweaked... The Warrior springs to mind.

That’s the fractional accounting change Hellraiser mentioned.

Right, I was just naming one explicitly...
