Title: Miniatures of the Fortnight #90: Hermes and Hermes II
Post by: Xiwo Xerase on 09 March 2020, 22:07:28
This fortnight, we look at two favored 'Mechs of the Free Worlds League, the Hermes and Hermes II.  The Hermes II harkens back to Technical Readout: 3025 and the Hermes to Technical Readout: 2750, so they've been around a while.  We don't have a 'Mech of the Week article for either of them, but one is a scout 'Mech and one is a mixed bag lighter medium 'Mech, so you can probably figure out how to use them.

The Hermes II has had three sculpts:The original Hermes II sculpt is a one-piece miniature, with the flamer on one arm and a hand on the other.  I find this makes this mini a good candidate for testing paint schemes (like the Clint).

The Hermes only has a single sculpt (http://camospecs.com/IWM/Details/663/hermes-her-1s) (20-252).

If you have any of these miniatures painted, please post pictures.  We'd love to see them!

As always, thank you for reading, and a special thank you to those of you who will post!

Is there a mini you want to see covered in Q2?  Place your request in the scheduling thread (https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=54424.150)!  I'll be scheduling the rest of that quarter soon!

Our next two fortnights will be:

Both of my Hermes (Hermes'? Hermeses?) are part of the Sirian Lancers.
The Hermes I goes to the 3. Sirian Lancers, the Hermes II goes to the 2. Sirian Lancers.
Plus final picture: guess which one is the lighter one...  ;)

I only have one, and it goes back to somewhere around mid 2009. This was a time when I was still learning to blend and the color shifts are more abrupt. Not one of my favorite pieces as I worked the blue too light, and the white is too grey.
