Why lower it to 75 tons, though? Now you've just made a Marauder variant.

It's definitely a great design. However, I'd agree that at this size and speed it has more in common with the various Marauder variants than the Awesome itself.

Any cost and production savings are going to be fairly marginal, if any, due to the fact that the 80-ton 3/5 mech will be using a 240 rated engine vs 300 for the 75-ton 4/6.
The main problem for an 80-ton 3/5 is squeezing in the IS-tech double heatsinks.
