Title: Advanced Point Defense Rules
Post by: monbvol on 09 January 2019, 16:03:51
Strategic Operations page 96-97 for the relevant reference.

If non-aerospace units are used in an aerospace scenario can they make use of advanced point defense rules?

Example scenario I roll some tanks with some AMS onto the hull of a space station to bulk up it's point defense.

Related if an ASF loads an Air Launched Arrow IV to destroy these tanks can said tanks protect themselves under Advanced Point Defense?

Which unfortunately raises a third related question of how close do these ASFs need to get to use Air Launched Arrow IVs since they have no Aerospace range?

I better stop for now because I could easily open up one hell of a rabbit hole for what should be a fairly niche scenario with some of the questions and implications already running through my mind.

Well the bombing in space rules may provide an answer for how close an ASF has to get but it still seems a bit unclear exactly how such a scenario would actually play out.
