The game started promptly not on time.  People were still dragging in at noon. It wasn't a problem really.

 The comguard set up 8 inches from the river bank with the Jade Falcon, Falcon guard starting 18 inches back.

Bv/side is 19.5. The Falcon guard consist of 2 stars and the comguard are 2 lvl II's strong.

2 turns of movement happened before firing happened.  The falcon guard struck first, scoring hits.

The comguard struck taking out a dragonfly.

This is 2 hours in and we are at turn 6.

Absolutly brutal game! The fakcon guard was soundly defeated at Robyns crossing. The comguard lost one mech...

To only have 1 death on a side in Alpha strike seems mental?

it wasn't alpha strike. It was a regular game.

 The falcon guard players were too scared to cross the bridge. they would send one mech across the bridge at a time. I don't know why, but that's what they did. they pretty much stood at the waters edge and shot, and got shot at. every once in a while one guy would get ballsy and run across. where upon the comguard players would beat him like a seal pup.

 Toward the end they went in mass but by then it was too late.

 The Falcon players started next to a level 4 rock face cliff. I told the comguard players they should send in a hatchet man to blow himself up next to the cliff face...the Falcon Guard were not amused...

As one of the Comguard players.... there is nothing that can be said to dispute this.......
If the Falcons had rushed us early, they would have had the means to hammer in hard.


As it was, they had nothing but long range shots........ and we kept rotating the Comguards that we allowed in range, to spread the damage.
And as Jon said, the few Falcons that did try and rush us, were beaten down by, usually, at least 10 mechs ganging up on them at a time.

Shameful.  Jade Falcons cowering in the face of the enemy.  Even worse, coming out the loser in a long range engagement.  Was there a way to jump across the river? 

I wish I had been there.

If they had jj's sure. Most configs didn't though.
