The 2nd Kearny Highlanders' Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse Battalion (Lockhart's Scottish Horse) traces its history back to the Fife and Forfar Yeomenry/Scottish Horse Regiment of the British Army.
The battalion had originally been mustered as part of the planetary militia of Northwind, and was excited about the return of the Northwind Highlanders at the end of the Fourth Succession War, the combined armored and infantry unit was converted into a battlemech battalion to round out the 2nd Kearny Highlanders, bringing them up to a full strength battlemech regiment. For nearly a decade the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse Battalion remained on the planet Northwind acting as an aggressor unit against the Northwind Military Academy training battalions, and other Northwind Highlander units.
Lieutenant Colonel Reagan Lockhart had rapidly risen through the ranks of the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry/Scottish Horse battalion, and with the recommendations of the Commandant of the Northwind Military Academy she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and her new command was finally assigned as the third battalion that brought the line regiment up to full strength.

Star Colonel <> Payne bares an eerie resemblance to the founding Khan Laura Payne.
The <> Cluster was an experiment by Khan Garret Sainze and saKhan Amanda Carrol to prove that their clan could come together as a single unified Clan. Unfortunately, it came a little too late… and Clan Fire Mandrill found itself the target of the other clans.
Star Colonel <> Payne was given orders to make sure that Clan Fire Mandrill would survive anything that happened, and created a back-up genetic depository that contained all of their genetic legacies that was placed inside the warship that had been assigned to support the Cluster.
The Cluster paint scheme is brick red with highlights and trim done with a mix of yellow, orange & black.

The 13th Crimson Cuirassiers Cluster 'Kerensky's Bloody Thirteenth' was an experiment undertaken by the Touman of Clan Blood Spirit, namely the replacement of the Armored Combat Vehicle Trinary with a Trinary of Protomechs. The 13th Crimson Cuirassiers Cluster is a unit that would end up being composed of many of the Wardens that existed in the Crusader Clan as well as possessing a healthy number of freebirth warriors within their ranks.
The 13th Crimson Cuirassiers Cluster uses a bright white and red paint scheme with red and black checkers. A dark gray is used for the center torso of 'Mechs, protomechs and elementals.
Insignia: The unit insignia is the number '13' in Gold that is superimposed over a Crimson Cameron Dagger-star.
