(Answered) BA modular mounts and turrets followup
« on: 09 February 2011, 04:53:29 »
A few things that weren't clear from the previous reply...

1) Are the rules for which equipment can be mounted identical for MWMs on biped BA and configurable turrets on quad BA? Given that turrets doesn't work identically to MWMs, I mean.

2) C3, ECM, Sensors, Searchlight - allowed or not? Given the old answer that C3 is allowed it seems logical that ECM and Sensors would be as well.

3) Weapon mounts - Which kind of weapon mounts would that be? Is there any situation where one would want to mount a weapon mount in a weapon mount?

4) Infantery weapons - I remember seeing an old reply that a MWM could carry an infantery weapon instead of a regular BA weapon, is that still legal? If it is, how does it work in configurable turrets? 1 slot per weapon?

Greetings,

1) in terms of legal equipment, MWM and Turret Mounts are treated in identical fashion
2) all allowed. Please refer to the clarification in the other thread
3) again per clarification - the prohibition on mount-inside-mount includes all modular weapon mounts, AP weapon mounts, squad support weapon mounts and all turret mounts
4) you are remembering an ancient BattleTroops-vintage rule, or a thread referring to that. This no longer applies to the current rule set so the answer is: no, not legal
