He passed away two weeks ago in Spain, but I hadn't heard a word. Most of his acting and musical work was in England, but obviously his most famous and quite memetic role was the gunnery sergeant from Aliens. He was also the first black soldier to be promoted to Sergeant in the 1st Marine Division, which is certainly a respectable accomplishment as well.
