Some seemingly simple things that have come to be if you want some guidance on making your own designs.

Small lasers - Clusters of heavy machine guns.
Medium laser - 25 - 40mm cannons as would be seen on IFV's
Large laser - 75 - 85mm cannons

AC-2 - 25mm - 35mm cannons
AC-5 - 75 - 90mm
AC-10 - 105/115/120/125mm
AC-20 - 165 + short barreled demolition guns.

PPC - High velocity 120 - 125mm cannons.

SRMs - Anti-tank missiles like TOW, AT-4 etc or Rocket pods like Hydra 70mm rockets.
LRM - MRLS/BM-21 or air to ground missiles like Maverick, Hellfire etc.
Arrow - Long range missiles - SLAM etc.

Thanks for doing the list, was going to have a go at one this morning.

Couple of designs i'd missed was the Scarabus (which kills the one i did last night  :( and the Raven, which i was going to do this morning).

Also the Falcon has been done, reply 83 on the main thread for the British Marines.
