(Answered) Definition of "Variable Range" weapons
« on: 16 April 2011, 09:50:11 »
Tactical Operations page 85, first bullet point under "Extreme Range":

Quote
Extreme Range starts 1 hex beyond long range and extends to a range equal to the weapon's maximum medium range times 2. [...] For Variable Range weapons, multiply the Long Range by 1.5 (round down). If a weapon does not have a Long Range, it cannot have an Extreme Range.

Well and good -- only, what is a "Variable Range" weapon? A typo for "Variable Damage" or something else altogether?
