The RWS Hector Rowe is the former SLS Tyrfing, a Texas-class battleship, that was converted shortly after the Amaris usurpation. It was at the Titan Shipyards undergoing a refit when Stefan Amaris seized control of Terra and the Terran Hegemony. Senior members of Amaris' Naval Staff thought the Tyrfing could better serve the Amaris Empire with some major improvements in firepower. The Class 45 Naval Lasers were replaced with Class 55s with eight more mounted fore and aft. The two NAC/40s were replaced by a pair of NAC/35s in each bay with two more pairs mounted in the aft wing arcs. AR-10s were increased to a total of sixteen with the Killer Whale launchers removed to make room, while the Heavy NPPCs wer increased to a total of twenty-four.
