(Answered) Bridge Destruction Over Water
« on: 12 November 2018, 07:53:38 »
1)   When a Bridge (TW, p.62; TO, p.117) is destroyed over a water hex, does it change the underlying terrain according to the rules for Battlefield Wreckage (TO, p.187)?  These rules list something as large as a DropShip being destroyed and creating a Ultra Rubble terrain modifier to the underlying terrain.  In the case of a water hex this Ultra Rubble terrain would be applied to the bottom of the water hex.  The Depth of the hex would not change.  Will a destroyed Bridge, regardless of it's initial CF, create a Rubble terrain modifier to a water hex's underlying terrain while not changing the Depth of that hex?

The Wreckage rules are only for units.  It would be a simple fix, however, to declare that bridges cause this, though I'd limit it to heavy bridges and higher, to better match up with the restriction that it only applies to units of 40 tons or more.  It would be a Rubble hex that does not change the Depth of that hex.
