The HLL and the iHLL are ... a bit niche - very powerful but restrained in use by heat, range and size.
They have their place for when you NEED that "close" range hammer.

Thinking about it I'm wondering if the scientists will ever manage to ER the Heavy Lasers.
The heat burden would be ... volcanic, cataclysmic even.

ERLL is 2 Damage and 4 Heat over the standard LL - so +25% Damage and +50% Heat.
Taking that a baseline a ERHLL(?) would come out at 20 Damage and 27 Heat ... that's in all likelyhood too good.
Losing the Damage increase and keeping the 27 Heat while going to the ERLL Range brackets would be more appealing to me.

That's called the RISC hyper laser. It's slightly more practical than a HVAC in that the damage/ton ratios are better

edit - also, watch the house rules.

I think of the Hyper Lazer (yes I know) as a Binary CERLL myself.  The stats are basically identical.

Tod und Verzweiflung flammet um mich her!
Fühlt nicht durch dich Jadefalke Todesschmerzen,
So bist du meine Tochter nimmermehr!
