Girl Genius: Mechanicsburg
« on: 03 July 2024, 13:40:03 »

Restarting the ongoing Girl Genius thread with a nice logo.

...

So. I'm seeing a lot of little hints that Agatha's gonna get possessed by the Other.

At least that's what I'm inferring from what those ghostly whatcha-ma-call-ems are hinting at.

On the Steam page I see that Zola and Merlot are there so I reckon this is her initial entrance to the Kestel, when mommy dearest was very much in her head.

Me neither but surely you see the little hints in their forays, right? That talk about "Oh the other is taller *right now*, yes...". And it would fit into a narrative fixing into the question about why Agatha is normal while so many of her forbears are crazy.

Weren't the ladies considering tossing him? They look like they did. But the question is then, how did things change while time was supposedly stopped?

That seems to be developing into a bit of a mystery box. Things moving when they shouldn't be. A trail of blood going to a body that's... moving. Ok I'm intrigued now.

(Using my judgment to hotlink the cartoon this one time... it helps to have something visual to go with so people popping in know what we're talking about. Just... I don't want to see people post pics on every update. This once. As a treat.)

So. I'm seeing a lot of little hints that Agatha's gonna get possessed by the Other.

I think the target is Gil.

Look at the very beginning, when Agatha uses a time portal to track Bangladesh Dupree, notice what Gilgamesh is wearing. Geisterdamen wraps.  He looks post medical and we later knew the Geisterdamen have the procedures to overcome control by the Other.
Gilgamesh is going to take a hard turn, get rescued and then help Agatha with a historical event.
Methinks something the giant clank that the Von Zinzer's were crewing carried was found to be of extreme importance later as Gil was (eventually) upset Bang destroyed it.  It was important enough time travel was necessary.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

After today I was switching to Gil but dang you're right.

I wonder what the soldier was turned into.   4 eyes, bit of monsterification.   Hopefully Gil will get out that situation or someone saves him before bad things happens.
