Chicagoland December Game - Kill the Chicago Division
« on: 25 November 2024, 19:55:21 »
Hello,

The annual December "Kill the agents" will be on Saturday, December 14th.

The game is at Games Plus.
(Start time approx. 11:00)
101 W. Prospect Ave.
Mt. Prospect, IL 60056
Phone: 847-577-9656
http://games-plus.com/

The rules for the players are as follows:
1. You must select 2 book stock mechs from any TRO up to and including 3085. Record Sheet products are also okay. It must have a legitimate record sheet. Experimental units are not allowed from those products either. With all of the TROs, you can ask if one of those will work and I will approve it or say nay. Please post here or PM if you would like to ask about a unit.
2. No artillery of any kind is allowed.
3. Any type of C3 is only shared between your two mechs. Just the same, Narc or any other group benefit weapon only helps your 2 unit team.
4. You get 6000 BV2 to pick your units. This includes their piloting and gunnery and other modifiers to BV such as C3.

The standard Chicago rules apply. (+1 piloting for every 20 pts of damage- no weight change, one arm prop, backward elevation, engine explosions, careful stand, floating crits)

I and my fellow agents have some painted mechs up for grabs for the for the person who kills the mech. One per player to make sure everyone gets something.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Still a bit confused by line item 1.

Do you mean the most free interpretation of "Any 'Mech variant with a MUL date of 3085 or earlier that isn't Experimental level tech for the year 3085"?  (I feel like that is the easiest standard to ask for, and crazy nerd-level players can verify Experimental level using MegaMek 'cause they probably use it already)

Or do you mean "Any record sheet from RS: 3085 CE/ONN/PP or earlier RS pack"?  Excluding the more recent CGL packs RS: Jihad/Clan Invasion/Succession Wars?  There are also retconned-in Clan Invasion 'Mech variants from the most recent Recognition Guide PDFs, too.

Any mech that has a production year on the MUL of 3085 or older.

The experimental part would be things like the Ceasar and Gyrfalcon from last week.

If you want to request a mech that is close to these restrictions or one that violates the limitations,  but not the feel, then please ask here or message me and i will say yay or nay.

Hoping to attend.
Will "The Binder" be available to choose from?
I haven't played in a while, and that would help.

I forgot to mention that the plan is currently to use hex-less terrain for this game.

This is dependent on me finishing the terrain in the next week.

Worst case I will have a back up (hexed) option as well.

Nope.

I have the new BFM if necessary.

I would just like to use the hex-less terrain I am working on.

That is within the rules as long as you pay for the C3i.
