John Ringo is a man with no sense of subtlety.

Holy Crow!

I've NO idea where most of mine even are, other than "Somewhere In A Cardboard Box In The Basement".   :embarrassed:  I "Should" have all of them, but not 100% Positive.  :undecided:

I got them as epubs from Baen's promo CDs on the Fifth Imperium website.

It's been a week, so I thought I'd just check and see if you survived being bludgeoned by Ringo's 00s Era politics?

Let's just say I avoid reading the Author's Notes at the back.

Or the Mary Sue-ification of Cally O'Neal?

Which he then continued in his Black Tide Rising series.   Turns a 14-year-old girl into the biggest, baddest Zombie Killer the World Universe has EVER seen.  But yeah, she plays rugby and "she's big for her age".     She's a better killer than any of the Special Forces men they find.  Men that have been killing since she was still in diapers.

I stopped after Hell's Faire and decided the Cally books can wait for another year. There's a limit to how much Ringo I can cope with in one dose.

Also on the currently reading stack: Vernor Vinge - A Fire Upon the deep.
Just a tenth in, so it's all still quite strange. But I do appreciate the lack of endless explanation.
