You're misremembering. It's true that large and small craft ECM don't interact, but that doesn't mean that small craft get to ignore large craft ECM. Fighters and shuttles are just as affected by DropShip ECM as any larger unit.

(Translation: In the ECM game, it just sucks to be a fighter or shuttle, unless you brought a probe.)

Because I'm pretty sure their the ones behind the Partisan Hull Defense tank which is a forerunner of the whole reflec for aerospace assets craze

A.)  They weren't

B.)  Blue Shield has absolutely nothing to do with Reflective Armor.  Blue Shield is derived from the Steiner Stadium on Solaris VII.

Blue Shield cuts the damage of PPC's in half, it fits the pattern

They work via completely different mechanisms.  You may as well say AES is derived from targeting computers because they both provide to-hit bonuses.

When did I say there was something similar in how they worked?

MASC and Superchargers both increase a 'Mech's speed.  They are in no way related to one another.

You directly implied it by referencing Reflective armor and the way it cuts damage.  "Fits the pattern" is pretty much calling them similar.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

That merely means that what they DO is similar, not how they do it

Blue Shield has nothing to do with discussion of this craft. Let's move on, please. [copper]
