(Answered) scrounge
« on: 26 January 2011, 08:15:39 »
hello

I was helping a player create an AToW character and we noticed that there is no specific scrounge skill.  I am curious if I mised something and it was renamed and/or what people are using for scrounging.  I personally decided streetwise, protocol depending on where one is looking would be a good alternative.

thought?

Hello,

The Scrounge Skill was deleted in the transition to A Time of War. In essence, Scrounge reflected a combination of technical and social Skills that were already supported by other Skills and thus the use of Scrounge as a Skill was deemed redundant and a hindrance to role-playing.

Thanks for the official word Herb.  I had assumed it was something like that.

So the rest of you RPGers, what are you all using to deal with scroungers?

Hello,

You are welcome. But I should note that this is the game rules discussion board; you may wish to find the Role-Playing board to poll other players.
