We're Still Playing Mechwarrior Living Legends (0.7.1)

The main page:

If you have any questions, it's best to post here.

The Wiki:

Not all entries have been updated to 0.7.1 level, but still useful.

The server stats:
http://stats.spikx.net/mwll.html
See who is playing without using ingame browser (times shown in UTC).

Helpful install guide:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PMyyhALZTJBtHpznmsk9Wx6GKm9qqLtzZdV8zMWJmY4/pub
Includes 2 options to connect to servers without Gamespy: A separate port tool and a "hosts" file.

MWLL 0.7.1 + Crysis Wars Trial combined installer:
http://forum.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php/topic,19022.0.html
Crytek discontinued support for Crysis Wars multiplayer, and when the last of the Gamespy servers went offline, so did official key checking.  No need to worry about piracy since both parts are still freely available.

MWLL 0.7.1 complete installer:
http://forum.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php/topic,19089.0.html
If you already have Crysis Wars (from buying Crysis Warhead or game pack, Steam version also) use this.

Alternate Mirror:

Chaos March organized weekend events:

Teamspeak3 voice chat server:
http://forum.mechlivinglegends.net/index.php/topic,20358.0.html
Game voice chat sucks, use TS3 or just text chat.

Custom map repository:
http://clanjadewolf.net/maps/
When you connect to a server and you don't have the map it's running, Crysis Wars will ask to download it for you.  Click OK and it will do the rest.

Some weapon, vehicle stat sheets:

Fan trailer from 2012:

A bit out dated, but still good to watch.

Not the easiest game to install, but if you want an available alternative to MWO, this is pretty much it.  Come on over if you're interested, we'll try to still be here.

Is this only PvP or is there bot-combat and/or mission play?

unless they changed something before they were told to stop working on the mod...i remember seeing something about that also...not sure about the current one i had not touched it in  2 years or so...
crysis wars? mod very well done better than the original cryssis wars
you sure cannot out run death...but sure as hell you can make that bastard work for it!

PvP only.  Wandering Samurai could only do so much with the freeSDK in Cryengine2, and Mechwarrior being a hefty balance monster, some things were largely on the back burner or just not really possible to do.
