How do I design a simple tow truck?

I'm looking to design a simple support vehicle to assist with other vehicles unable to be moved under their own power - a tow truck.

Looking at the Industrial Equipment tables and reading the description, the only thing remotely useful in this situation is the lift hoist.  Does this make sense to people?

The lift hoist is useful in cases when you carry things above the ground, but if it concerns trailers then you likely just need a hinge.

Yeah.  I'm thinking give it was a lift hoist, and call it quits.

Yeah, but the boost is 3 tons - not going to fit on a 2,500kg vehicle.  So a simple tow truck is out.  Maybe as a drone, later.

It would fit on a 5-ton vehicle, though.

Yeah, but the one for my project is too small.  5 ton wrecker sound good  for military, but to move civilian stuff it's too much overkill.  Or overtow.   :)

You could do it as a Ultra-Light, Dune Buggy wheeled 4 ton (3.991), 3/5 ICE with Lift Hoist and 1 armor point of BAR 9, Front.

Has 1 ton fuel (121km), BV is 10, and it's 55,674 C-Bills. I assigned a pair of Pintle mounted Hand Searchlights on the sides, that way you have 360 Light. Hoist is rear mounted.

Remember on Paved, vehicles get that +1 MP...
