« on: 24 February 2023, 20:47:37 »
I know it's a big ask, but "Can Anyone Figure Continents for Factories?"

There's this "Fortress 'Merica" gag I wan'a merge with FEB3058 reporting from Fall of Terra.

Help?  :wheelchair:

We know the Grim Reaper is built in Germany. That's the only one I know offhand because I found that bit while writing the MotW.

Krupp is somewhere in Germany, but has facilities in Budapest and on Mars, too.

Aldis is in Britain (Liverpool) and Japan (Tokyo).

Di Tron was also in Japan (Tokyo).

Bowie is in Chicago.

Ford is in Chicago.

The Carbine (or more realistically the Construction Mech base) is from Little Rock, Arkansas. The local governments being what they are, I'd say its probably technically in Sherwood or Maumelle. Anywhere in the 34.7, -92.4 to 34.8, -92.2 range should get you.

Bluth Corporation have (or had) facilities in the USA "near an industrial zone where a tank of shared name (but christened after a general) had been built centuries before.". Dont know much of USA tanks history, but that would be either New York state or Detroit. (Chaffe servicemech, TRO:V annex, pag. 200). As Fallen_Raven, Bluth´s primary factory is in Little Rock (Carbine, TRO:V Annex, pag. 210)

Lima Army Tank Plant, in Lima, Ohio is where the M1 Abrams was/is built. They do not really build new ones they refurbish old ones. Though that could change soon.

I think the reference is about the M24 Chaffee.

Ford Military is near Chicago.
As per Shrapnel 3, I chose to make the Chicago Assembly plant the site of Ford's Thorn production.

Martinson Armaments is in Australia

More specifically, the Martinson Armaments factory in Australia was built beneath Sydney/Botany Bay and was in part connected to the Burragorang Castle Brian. Between tunnel collapses and nuclear weapon usage, the plant was (IIRC) destroyed during Stone's liberation.

Look, dude, when you are a real mechwarrior you don't need to get all dressed up in cooling suits and cool helmets to work on your mech. You just strip down to your 1980s panties and crop top vest and start wrenchin' it.

MHI is a company producing VTOLS on Ruchbach for the FS in the 3050's.

They didn't have a Factory on Terra till the Republic Era.
