Wheeled Scout
« on: 23 February 2024, 17:02:37 »
The Wheeled Scout based off the old art from MechWarrior 1st ed. The open topped version even has occupants included. I fan-funded this miniature through Iron Wind Metals because I wanted it badly enough to include in games. Just something about filling in the universe with more than just mechs. I was surprised when I heard they wanted to include little figures, which involved bringing in another sculptor for the job. Tiny dudes, but help complete the appearance of the mini

Also working on my weathering skills.

Fantastic!

My older less used stuff is all in storage right now in preparation for us moving.
Every once in a while something comes up that makes me REALLY want to dig out
my old stuff that I haven't used for a while.
This makes me want to find one of my boxes of old stuff like you wouldn't believe!

Great work.

Awesome work!
"That's Lieutenant Faceplant to you, Corporal!"

Things that I have learnt through clicking too fast on 'Move Done' on MegaMek: Double-check the CF of the building before jumping onto it, check artillery arrival times before standing in the neighbouring hex, and don't run across your own minefield.

"Hmm, I wonder if I can turn this into a MM map."

That is a great mini! It captured the feel of the artwork perfectly. Like the makers of Mad Max used an ‘80’s sedan and converted it into an off road war machine for one of their movies. And you painted it beautifully to boot!

Those are awesome.  I want like fifty.

Your paint job is excellent.  The level of detail you got hurts my brain.

Oh wow! That mini is awesome, not just because of the old MW RPG, but also the paintjob reminds me very much of the art style of back then!

I'm glad this has scratched an itch for you guys. The original game materials really have a special place for me and I don't think it is just nostalgia.  I just finished up the covered version and will post that soon.
