With the clarification to how the optional rule for the separate special weapon attack roll for TAG works in the latest 7.0 errata, it has made me question how I've been understanding the NARC rules.

Pg 97 (pictured below) calls a NARC attack an extra weapons attack, while the errata for TAG  (pictured below) calls that a special weapons attack that is made as an additional attack to other weapons or physical attacks in the same turn. Both take effect immediately so I'm wondering how immediate the NARC takes effect.

Does this wording difference mean that NARC is not resolved as a separate attack, and should be resolved alongside the attackers standard weapon or physical attacks? In other words, can a unit with SNARC and a missile profile, like the ON1-M (pictured below), roll for its NARC attack on a target, and if it lands, benefit from the +1 damage to that same Target in that same turn?

Separate question using the same ON1-M as an example. Weapon critical hits on pg. 50 (pictured below) states that damage from all weapons and special abilities with a damage number get reduced by 1. Does this include abilities like SNARC or TSEMP/Taser abilities? They don't always have a number listed next to them, and they don't deal damage so I assume no, but I want to double check.

Extra and additional mean the same thing here, a unit gets one attack (it's standard attack) and NARC, TAG, etc are extra/additional attacks.  They have separate targets, attack rolls, etc.

NARC is immediate.  If the ON1-M does its NARC attack first and is successful, it's standard attack that same turn is then affected by the NARC.

Understood. Follow up question, could the Orion from the second question shoot it's NARC at a target, see the result, then have another unit make a standard/special weapon attack like another NARC or TAG, then come back to the Orion and have it make a standard weapon attack?

I.E.: Does AS define a separate attack as an attack you can await the result of before making another attack even from the same unit?

Each unit mist complete all of its attacks before you attack with another unit.

Got it so no, separate attack doesn't inherently mean you can await the result, move on to another unit, then come back to that first unit. Makes sense!
