Gargoyle (Man O War) G MOD
« on: 16 October 2011, 11:02:11 »
Still playing with Gargoyle loadouts.  I had to get a little creative on the AP Guass riffles but I decided to mirrored a Masakari B right arm laser set look and omni upper arm.

Code: [Select]
1 LB 20-X AC RA
3 AP Gauss Rifle LA
4 ER Medium Laser LT

Feedback or suggestions are always welcome.

Looks really good. Maybe beef up that left arm a little bit (upper arm looks a little scrawny), other than that its awesome.

I agree, the upper arm could use a bit more beef!!

It would look more balanced if the 3AP Guass were in an arm mount like the other weapon... a Dire Wolf arm would work, and add the bulk.

It's a very good conversion, save the tiny arm. The big LB20 Arm actually makes the Gargoyle look fierce... which they never do.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

I had thought about going with the Dire Wolf arm as suggested by SnK but decided against it since there are two APG rifles mounted on the under arms of the limited edition IWM Jumping Rifleman IIC 8 and those are not bulked up by much on the arms.

After looking at Chris Lewis's (SCUG) CAD work Masakari B right arm (what I modeled the arm after noted int he original post), I may need to use the thicker IWM omni arms that add some girth to the upper and lower arm plus give the left to right pivot point.

I don't know about the left arm, the barrels look like they were just glued on, with no relation to what is behind them.
Other than that it is amazing

Could the same thing be said about the Warhawk B left Gauss riffle?

Or the Warhawk A right arm LB-10X?

I think your point is fair, but there is a lot of oddness looking stuff on the original Clan omnis.  I guess it just depends on how much you want to keep it looking modular in nature which was what I was trying for when taking into consideration the Warhawk B left arm (a full sized Gauss rifle) and the right arm (three laser loadout) both on the same general back to upper arm.

Nice work so far, but what i am concerned about is the scale ratio between the triplett AP Gauss and the quartett medium lasers. The medium lasers look rather tiny for their one ton of weight while the AP Gauss with just a half ton of weight look quite bulky.

On the other hand with a given payload there is no real chance to swap the weapons...

Gods..I just wish I could get one of these...At the Trial of Bloodright this year, I learned that I
love this configuration of the Manowar...(Heck..the reaction of some of my opponents on realizing
the thing had THREE tons of LB/20 ammo was priceless!)

That left arm is rough. They sure don't give you much to work with ether - not having a hand actuator, or something else to give it some scale next to the other arms LB-20X. You nailed that right arm though Justin.
