To the Victor go the Spoils

In the summer of 3067 on the planet Epsilon Eridani the mercenary Redfield Renegades and the Lone Star Regiment were battling in the Shamus Mountains they unearthed a hidden Star League Depot. There they discovered a pristine Colossus DropShip. Neither side was willing to back down. Driven more by greed than orders, both commands suffered heavy casualties.

Who will emerge victorious and lay claim to the SLDF Colossus DropShip?

Each team had the same objective, secure the dropship and eliminate the enemy force

Forces deployed on either side of the mountain wall. Each side also had two unit deployed close the the dropship, representing the units that discovered it.

Redfield Renegades take to the mountain while the Lonestar Regiment makes a run towards the dropship

Light units from each force engage each other around the dropship

The Bushwhacker destroys the Panther with an LB20-X slug to the head. A side note, it was the first game ever for the player controlling the Bushwhacker and on his very first shot he rolls boxcars!

Heavy fire is exchanged between the Lonestar Awesome and several Redfield units. The Awesome goes down but isn't out. The Tempest suffers a critical hit to its gauss rifle.

The Awesome holds its ground, soaking up fire from different enemies. Units from both sides have just about made it to the end of the mountain separating them.

A large battle ensues at the end of the mountain. The Apollo takes server damage and several pilot hits which the pilot is unable to recover from. The Awesome continues to draw fire from four enemy units.

More heavy fire is exchanged. Several units on both sides take heavy damage.

The Awesome finally subcomes to the massed fire and the Falconer goes down from a fail piloting roll. The Apollo pilot is still unconscious.

Both sides maneuver for position with several units trying to protect damaged sides. Notably the Cerberus and Maelstrom.

The Cerberus us put down and the Komodo is down with gyro damage. The Apollo is still unconscious.

The Banshee tags the Centurion in the head with a gauss round while the Bushwhacker tries to finish off the Komodo. The Starslayer goes for the exposed back of the Tempest but the Maelstrom is supporting the Tempest.

The Bushwhacker finishes off the Maelstrom, the Starslayer finishes off the Komodo. The Wolfhound as taken hip damage and been stripped of most of its armor, heavy fire is exchanged between it and the Trebuchet. The Apollo pilot is still unconscious.

The Banshee finishes off the Bushwhacker. More fire is exchanged between the Trebuchet and Wolfhound with the Wolfhound taking the worst of it. The Starslayer goes for the back shot on the Banshee but leaves it self open to the Tempest.

The Wolfhound and Starslayer go down to combined fire. The Starslayer manages to take out the Tempest on it's last shot. The Banshee decides to put the poor Apollo pilot out of his misery and delivers a gauss/ppc combo.

The game ends with three Redfield Renegades mechs still operational and able to lay claim to the dropship. Out of the three remaining units the Blackjack did not take one point of damage!

Overall a great game, 12 players involved with a good mix of new, novice and experienced players.

Excellent work.

Loved the scenario. May have to borrow it for a future game.

Very bloody game.

It truly was a great game! I can say this because the Blackjack was my ride, I don't think anyone took me as a serious threat. Thanks again to Sagittaire for all the hard work he put in planning the scenario.

It doesn't take long for men to make a decision. It's making a decision look smart that takes the time.

Very impressive table and nice twist on the deployment zones.  Looks like a fun game all around!
