Battleforce minis
« on: 06 July 2012, 20:52:12 »
Has anyone purchased the IronWind battleforce scale minis? I have 4 boxes of each starter sets. I think they have come out with some new ones. I hope to get them too. Any painted pics anyone?

I just bought my first two packs.  I have the inner sphere lance pack 2 and clan star pack 2.  I really like them.  I have one of each of the starter boxes on order and will be getting one of each of the other 4 packs. Currently out are:
starter box 1
Starter box 2
Inner sphere lance pack 1
Inner sphere lance pack 2
clan star pack 1
clan star pack 2
word of blake level 2
comstar level 2

I don't have any of mine painted yet.

I'm interested in seeing how they look, painted or no.

Ask and you shall recieve... I picked up the two starter boxes last week.  I've cleaned up and assembled most of them but haven't painted them yet.  The only one based is the barghest (you'll see it in the link).

Initial stream of consciousness impressions: They're really cool, really small, a bit of a pain to assemble, and the arms seem as if they may be too weak to survive without some sort of reinforcement, the Nexus is leaning waaaay forward (not sure if it got smooshed or what, or if it's supposed to be that way), the Madcat Mk II's legs are waaaay too weak at the ankles - but it looks cool.

I've yet to figure out how I'll store/transport them.

Okay, that last pic was really helpful, but not in the way you'd think. I'd long since decided to avoid the existing Cougar sculpt as being too small compared to newer Omnis, but seeing it next to a Shadow Cat has changed my mind. I think it'll work just fine, though I still want to swap out the arms for something a bit bigger. O0

Thanks! The size comparison helps. :)
