They somehow managed to survive two centuries cut off from the IS.

Wait, the first Foundation or the 2nd Foundation(This one is secret but we all know it's Star's End)

I"ve been drawn into religious arguments in the past (and got blasted accordingly) so I want to state right now that I don't count the Way as a religion (which is why I called it spiritualism instead).  Prior to the invasion there were may spiritual groups within the Clans that would help feed the Cobras (Clan Nova Cat, Clan Coyote, Clan Goliath Scorpion (hopefully I got that one right this time), and to a degree Clan Ghost Bear).  The strongest spiritual sources have since moved to the Inner Sphere and with contact completely cut off, that source is cut off.
My second point is that isolation and specialization may create great warriors today, but as the world changes around you, you will soon be out of date, and out matched by evolving generalists.  You only have to look at human evolution to see this.  Specialist hominids (like Homo Boisei) were able to out perform generalist hominids (like Homo Habilis) in their hey day, but when the environment changed, the Boisei went extinct in less then a couple of generations while the Habilis struggled on for another million years.  The same is true for the Clans, clans like the Blood Spirit create exemplary warriors, but their isolationist attitude will catch up with them in the end (as shown before they started to develop Protomech technology).  Generalists like Clan Wolf will change with the times and survive because of it.

I don't count the Way as a religion (which is why I called it spiritualism instead).
To a Cloud Cobra, the Way is more like an umbrella that covers ALL religions and even non-religious philosophies (i.e. Fate, humanism, atheism, etc.).  It is not in itself a religion per se, but it represents religious/spiritual/metaphysical/bigger-than-oneself beliefs and creeds.

The Way something bigger/greater than a religion.... So the Cobra's are on the right way to destroying themselves. Technically a good is something "omni-all" (specially for monotheist) how could you explain the fact a human idea (the Way) become bigger than a "God" idea (a religion)  ???

Tinfoil hat time!

Fire Mandrills get destroyed by the big boys, which makes me sad.   :'(

The Star Adders and the Cloud Cobras have been infiltrated/taken over by the Dark Caste/Tanite Brain Slugs.  Coyotes have been taken over by the Scientist Caste.  Scorps, Vipers, and Spirits have to go all out to destroy these corruptions.

What's this about tanite brain slugs? I've seen this mentioned elsewhere. Do the tanite worlds have some Wrath of Khan style bugs that get in the brain or something??

To get a some more interesting discussion going, who do you think are the three survivors of the Wars of Reaving?
Note that I am asking for who you think will survive, not who you wish will survive.

I think Clan Star Adder will divide into two Clans, one called Clan Star Adder, and the other called Clan Star Burrock. Though the Burrocks will never call themselves as such, and after a while, the Adders will quit calling them that too.

All right, we’ve mentioned brain slugs enough times that we are required by Science Fiction law to shout . . .

Did someone say "Tanites train slugs"? is that where the Burrock training centers were? Burrocks kind of look like large slugs......

ISP2 goes into the Tanite brain slugs a bit. It's in-universe conjecture.

Actually, there more green gelatinous blobs with a single eye that perch to the rear left side of the top of a person's head...people that are controlled by them tend to move in a stilted manner, and talk in a very monotone voice, with every few sentences being an offer of a brain slug to the person they are talking to if they do not already have one...
