Hollywood is very good at screwing up awesome material.

Yay for not having a Hollyweird movie!

So, last episode. Loved the Pelican scene.
The one, the only, the unnecessary Falchion!

ok just got my hand on the dvd version fo the web series overall impression.  Love it.  It just need maybe 30 more minute of padding and you got yourself a real movie.. not sure what to add to the padding.. they pretty much ran the gauntlent on the academy scene and let face it any scene outside of it would lose the flavor you have from an very enclose enviroment.. so maybe padding wouldn't be a good idea but i just don't think you can green lit a movie that only 60minute long.  Sigh.  Thing i like Master Chief and the Convenant left for the very end of the story.  While most people would critize how can you leave the star of the movie on the bench till the second half it has more to do that chief seldom talk and is so a killer machine that showing him earlier would spoil the fun.  From the director bit in the dvd it seem the shoot took about a month of actual film time while maybe months of putting in the cgi.   With limited budget, time  i think they did a hell of a job with this film.

It really was amazing. I have it on my 360 from the Halo 4 limited edition- I expected SyFy-quality, and was very pleased to be wrong.

The Spartan Ops films/vignettes aren't bad either.

I agree but you wouldn't know that from Halo Waypoint forums.

That's why I stay well clear of them I play the game and have fun

Just like Forward Unto Dawn I enjoyed it despite the 0 tie in with Halo 4 it would have been nice in the dialogue of the game Laskey and Chiefs previous meeting to come up

Halo 4 has its issues but you give me 1 game that doesn't and I'd be impressed

I think they are working their to a tie-in for whatever Halo 5 will be.  In the mean time, I like the serial style updates particularly in a universe that interests me.

I'd say solitaire but the multi-player pretty much stinks.

Yeah the expanded universe of halo is awesome as a player and as a fiction fan

I'd guess there will certainly be something for 5 since forward unto dawn I believe has been quite successful

It really is a surprisingly good universe- the novel line has been really well done (with a couple of minor hiccups). The past couple (Glasslands and Thursday War) in particular are well done.

Is there another Halo tv thread?

Season 2 has been exceptional so far. Based on the episode titles, the Episodes 6 & 7 should focus on the Silververse's version of Ghosts of Onyx. Chief and Arbiter's arcs will lead to Halo in the season finale.

- Is this Arbiter supposed to be Silververse Thel Vadam? Or is Thel appearing later?
- With Silver team practically disbanded, will they form Blue Team with Chief and other Spartans?
- Wonder how they'll handle the Spartan III arc given the Silververse being darker than the main timeline. Keyes was treated well but he went out so early and if they don't introduce the Autumn and somebody else, the Silververse Halo CE will be very different
