Ran a fun adventure tonight. Fantasy game, party are all scions of the ruling families of their empire. They have been traveling and adventuring together for about a month of campaign time. Tonight, they learn that their sisters had gotten together at a resort town, only to have some of the crown jewels stolen by a thief. Rather than get professional help, the girls emulate their brothers and try to get the jewels back on their own.
Which could have lead to a classic I Love Lucy-esque scenario on its own. But the PCs manage to top this. The party rogue gets a Facade of Normality spell from the wizard and sneaks into a spa where the girls are. The spell causes anyone seeing the recipient to see whatever they expect to see - which allows him to sneak into a locker room and plant a note in his sister's clothes. He then attempts to follow them out and back to their hotel.
But a random chance event (precipitated by the Masterbook Card system) indicates a Possible Setback. He loses his towel on the street, and is following them naked except for the spell. Then the rest of his party finds out and hilarity ensues. Then he gets to the hotel. Fancy place, so it has wards. Some of the guests might want to have spells active going in or out so the wards shouldn't affect his spell. Random chance says otherwise. Worse this is the hotel he always stays at when he visits here.
So with the entire lobby pointing and gawking, he just marches up to the counter, and says "I'd like a room." The table burst into laughter, and it was a good five minutes before recovery. And the jokes kept coming all night long about the "prince's new clothes"
These are the nights it is great to be a gamer or GM.
