I might go to the ones at the Westin in Lombard. They're right next door to where I work :P I get a discount for staying there ;)

Adepticon will be seeing the Chicagoland Bloodname Tournament.  The winner will earn the distinction, within Chicagoland, of carrying the Vickers bloodname, as well as a tasty prize.

I'm running a Chicago one.   It is not official like, for example, GenCon but I'll make it mean something here in Chicago.

So, you're bringing the shame of the Leafs there?

Whats that?  I can't hear you because of the "Playoff participant" ring in my ear, they started issuing them after the lockout...Lost Season.

Cool!
I'm going to be at Little Wars running a generic 28mm Mech Game. I'll try and make it over to the Grinder.

I haven't played CBT in almost 20 years, but I've got some miniatures (not sure about record sheets though).  It looks like all materials are being provided but If I bring a couple painted mechs can I use them?

I wouldn't have an issue with that as long as they aren't on the list of Unseen 'Mechs.

The Battletech Bloodname tournament at Adepticon is going to have a pretty decent prize for the winner: a star of painted Clan Wolf mechs.

That's right, if you are worthy of the Vickers bloodname, you get to walk away with a star of mechs to show for it.

Good to know,
I'll make sure to leave the 3rd edition plastics at home!  I brought them out and it would be generous to say that they are "unimpressively" painted so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get them up to snuff in time. Still I do hope to be able to make the grinder anyway.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Demo Team.  Played a demo at Little wars with a gentleman who's card I promptly lost.   He explained the game well and I enjoyed myself from beginning until an ammo explosion left my mech in a crater.

I'm a fast-play rulsest sort of gamer, so I can't say it hooked me on coming back to CBT.  However, it was nice to be playing in the BT universe again and did get me absolutely frothing at the mouth for "Alpha Strike"!
