Watched Iron Man 3 last night on FX.
Will watch the last two episodes of the first season of Gotham tonight on FOX (I haven't seen them yet) just before watching new episodes of Z-Nation and Continuum and maybe a repeat of last Sundays Fear The Walking Dead.

Watched Pacific Rim again over the weekend.  Gets worse every time.

Watched The Guardian.  So ineffective at drama.  Do not resuscitate.

Saw Age of Adaline..  Not bad, but could imo have been better had they actually spend time ON her in the past, rather than just as flash backs..

Also tried watching Cusacks new film, Mercy and love.. about the Beach boys...  Had to turn it off after 35 min as it was just so boring.

Just seen the Red Dog. Really fun movie, but the ending was quite sad.

I just rewatched it the other day on cable.  Hardly a great accomplishment of cinema, but I still had fun with it.  I'm actually looking forward to the rumored sequel.

I still think the best accomplishment of that film is the portrayal of the Australian father and son team.  the moment at the end where the son has to say he'll miss the dog in place of being able to say his goodbyes to his father seemed weirdly accurate as an outsider.

Finally caught Furious 7..  I was almost brought to tears watching the final few minutes, with the song playing in the backround and Vin's speech

Epic was enjoyable.

Watched Man of Steel on FX yesterday and I don't get the hate for it. If you (the generic you) hate it don't bother trying to change my mind as I enjoyed it.

That was about the only good thing in the movie. Seeing the Destroyer in between the buildings downtown was pretty neat.

Caught Maze runner: Scorch trials..
Good parts.. Loved the red-arms..
Liked that we had a good role for our good Nevil from revolution.  Pity his group turned on him.

That's all i liked.

Hated/disliked.
Zombies yet again..
The whole morality of "we need to test, then kill/milk" the young for the greater good...  Very off putting.

Is that the animated one about fairies/pixies and the scientist dude and his daughter? If so, was quite good.

Actually, mainstream and a little past that.  Skateboarding is so policed in public spaces that kids often go to public, or pay to enter skate parks.  Also, coverage of skateboarding competitions is on ESPN now.  The underground aspects are pretty far gone.  There's no need to make Rad, Airborne or The  Endless Summer because those movies won't move tickets on the basis of subject matter alone anymore.

Not that most of those movies were ever profitable.

in other words movies like that will not be made anymore because of money and second it is not conforming enough to powers at large

Just watched Flashpoint, a strange, but interesting (and subtle!) 1984 movie about some border patrolmen, finding something very interesting out in the desert...

And my copy of Milleniuum came today!

Recently I also saw the latest Tremors movie! Tremors 5! It was good, but could have done with less Jamie Kennedy.
Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

These, in the day when heaven was falling,      Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.
