Watched the Paul Feig,'s Spy film starting Melissa McCarthy was funny a romp, normally i don't like gross out and out-righteous elements.

Did a rewatch of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Anyone got any idea on who they THINK Starlord's daddy is?

I'm going to watch R.I.P.D. tomorrow for the first time.

Then later that evening I'm going to watch the season 2 premier of The Librarians.

I'd say Firelord but I don't think that he's in the MCU due to his ties to Galactus and therefore the Fantastic Four, so Quasar or Captain Mar-Vell.

I saw the Shining a few years ago in a film class.

The problem with a classic horror movie like it is that by now, all the innovations have long since become cliches.

Decent action, but the plot kinda sucked.

True and the movie is outright dated. A laptop and some cell phones would have solved about half the problems.

In honor of Halloween, I watched Brahm Stoker's Dracula last Saturday.  Still a very good interperetation of the story, I think, and with a very simpathetic Dracula.  In the big final battle, I was not sure who I was rooting for, Harkness or Dracula.

I just got the new, "Supereme Cinema" edition, with two audio comentary tracks, and lots of featurettes.  Spent the whole evening watching the movie and all the supplementary material.  It was actually surprising watching the interviews with the actors, seeing how much younger Gary Oldman was when this movie was made.

I still like it.  It has that over the top quality of Victorian era drama.  Plus, Tom Waits.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" - enjoyable, and Spader was perfect as the voice of Ultron.

It came out in theaters 1st july.

IMO the designers for the whole Marvel films hit paydirt with Spader as Ultron and with having Bettany as the voice of Jarvis/Vision.

Though I haven't done so in a few years, in honor of today being November the 5th, I went ahead and watched V for Vendetta.  You know, instead of studying my exam tomorrow.   :-[

I thought it was their habit of offing all the interesting characters that killed the show.

First two episodes of "The Man in the High Castle" on Amazon Prime; very good counter-factual (aka alternate history) series based on the Phillip K. Dick novel of the same name.

Re-watched The Longest Day yesterday in honor of Veterans Day here in the US.  Probably my favorite "war" movie of all time.   [applause]
