Always loved this thread.
Bet you didn't see this one coming, a Sentry update. Largely a refit for old Sentries in Draconis/Capellan March use
MGs replaced w/CLMGs, CASE w/ CASE II. PPC is gone, a Plasma Rifle in it's place fed by 2t of ammo, and the RA SPLs w/ERMLs and the Flamer in the head with a SXPL.

Edit: The Hawkwolf was sent to the Federated Suns from the Brotherhood of Randis through "foreign aid" packages to shore up losses of 'Mechs on the Capellan March.
While originally the -4F was used as a missile boat, many battle-damaged examples and at times a lack of munitions for the ammo hungry LRM-15s led to a variety of field modifications, the most popular of which was the -4D which flips the role of the Hawkwolf from Missile Bot to a Direct Fire Support 'Mech.
Replacing the LRM-15s are a pair of Johnson Parti-Cannon PPCs, and an extra 4 Single Heat Sinks to stave off the greater heat generation. To improve protection due to the shorter range of the new guns, Kallon Unity Weave replaces the original Hope Shield Standard. The Comms and TTS are replaced by tried-and-true Garret models.
The -4D proved well enough that the schematics were sent back to the Brotherhood of Randis, who have begun to produce the -4D in limited numbers.
