Here's the rest of what I've done.

Well, it's only partially mine.  I didn't spell out everything from Battletechnology or Stardate.I have no idea who did those.

I have all this info in my full product inventory, which I'll be reposting once I've made a few tweaks to the new spreadsheet format.

On the list I posted I did the Battletechnology, Stardate & Dragon Magazine. I seen the Challenge Magazine posted here and grabbed it, and the Mecha Press, Space Gamer & Games Review were emailed to me from a forum member (cant remember who with the old PM posts gone now). You have a lot I have not even see so we should conspire to compile a complete list!

Well, I've posted everything I know of.  If you PM me an email I can send you the spreadsheet, which contains a lot of data like price, year and publishers.  Note that I have added one more to the Challenge, Issue 60.  There are a couple in the late 50's-60's that I haven't gotten my grubby paws on yet, so there may be more added in the future.  Everything before Issue 50 is certain, because 50 has a handy article index.  Since I got me a handy new scanner/printer/fax for Christmas, I've been debating scanning all the articles in, but I'm leery of legal problems.

Legal issues suck.  I realize we have to protect IP, and all... but...

Challenge magazine?  Published by a company that no longer exists?  Stuff like this should be ENCOURAGED to be scanned, for the archival value.

It's like the classic television shows like WKRP and Tour of Duty that can't be issued in their original format on DVD because the music companies won't license the original soundtracks for a reasonable amount of money.  Thus, these classics get hacked up before being delivered to the public.

For the purposes of historical archival, I really REALLY wish there was a change in our copyright law.

Maybe I'm blind but I'm not seeing it...

But wasnt it an issue of Stardate that had the original "Quirks" rules for mechs from the 3025 fluff ?
Thinks like the Javeling falling over & the Rifleman/Jagermech anti AA fire ?

This thread promted me to do something I'd been meaning to do for some time: A writeup on FanPro's German "Wunderwelten" magazine for the Sarna BTW, including a rundown of its BattleTech content:

Wunderwelten

By the way, I don't have Issues 6, 29 and 48 so anyone who owns them is welcome to add their content to the article.

You know...those are a lot of very interesting 'Mech names and such.

I would love to get digital copies of those designs, with images if they had them.

HMP comes with 'Mechs from BattleTechnology, FutureWars, MechForceUK, and TechFactory.  There are a lot more there that I WOULD love to have.

There are so many that it would just be cool to play with for one offs just to see what they're like.  :)

There was a lot of good stuff in them, but the relentless focus on mercs to the exclusion of all else......wore thin with me.

Seems also to me, that a lot of things in those magazines eventually transitioned into the rules at some point later.  For example
infantry with towed ACs, which I believe was in a Challenge issue.

Yeah, that was me being silly.  It's a dumb article that doesn't belong in Battletech and really adds nothing to the game.

There was a magazine called anime squared from the mid 90 that had one artical about the knight sabers written for battletech at the time. They did not incude the mech sheets but did a basic over veiw on the writeup. I forget which issue it was. I will have to dig it out since I remember the artical well since I wrote the bloody thing.....
