It's not approved for public release, but the fact of its existence is unclassified.  Wikipedia has an article on the system itself (LaWS), but a picture would belong in the Navy thread...

LaWS is pretty campy though; not really militarized at all. Won't get it on a surface vehicle too.

Btw: MEHEL on Stryker is only 2 kW. HEL on Boxer was 10 kW. Both Boeing/GD and Rheinmetall have some mobile lasers in the 50-60 kW category, though those are truck-mounted. LaWS is 33 kW.

It is still developmental, but it's been around quite a while (years)... that was my only point.
