I'll be there.  Should we post an announcement about I-Con over on the Conn. thread?  Is Ogre going to be there?

Hey Gang -

Bad News...   a wedding announcement for april fools day from a family member in maryland that I thought was a joke turns out to be real...  so I won't be there for the Marik v Wobblie game  [metalhealth] [##] [tickedoff] I may not even be there for Icon at all, since my unprintable family wants to make a weekend trip out of it instead of a day trip.  Will let you know what will be happening with my Icon game as soon as I know myself.

Ogre, glad to hear from you again, sorry to hear about the rest of circumstances... hope the neck surgery is not neccessary!

So what happened, you get whiplash looking at a cute chick going the other way?   [drool] >:D

In all seriousness, though, I sincerely hope things improve for you.  If there's anything we can do to help from out here, please let us know.

Hey Guys -

well, as if things weren't screwy enough already... I will be at Icon... because apparently, I wasn't invited to the wedding after all... just mom, dad and sis.  >:( [madflame] [metalhealth] [skull] Wtf is that?  Anyway, will be there to kill things after all;  I just hope I won't be completely unpleasant to be around that weekend.

Hey Gang -

2 things...

First, as to how I got the info on the place Jim, I was setting up the battletech thing at icon on friday and the store's owner walked by.  He said "Hey, an old FASA game!  Nice to see them, although I was more partial to the Renegade Legion stuff."

To which I replied "REALLY??!!  So was I!  Still have the RPG book and Prefect at home, but never have anyone to play against..."

So he gave me the info and said drop in and we could play centurion or something a bit.

Haven't had a chance yet;  things have been hectic with easter and work and all.  Have you gone down and checked the store out yet?

The second thing is that we need to finalize the campaign stuff...  like when the first game will be, whether or not we will be using full aero, no aero, or the pseudo aero rules you guys had us use last time, and what the start conditions will be.

ok I have the next game setup. we have next Sunday 4/22.
I have also setup 5/20 for the next game. I know we want to start the DCMS vs CSR so we need to get some points in order. first are the DCMS going to be on the ground or are CSR going to try for a space intercept?

recon mission
all players get to pick a recon unit from the Inner Sphere faction they like best sorry no WoB they will be the OpFor.

the idea is to recon the site that will be at the other end of the field and get out. you force size will be a lance.

I will have an OpFor that will be the WoB defender.

you will need infantry .... standard infantry that is .... to check out the buildings. the more places you look at the better you score will be. as with all other games so far personal carriers and the infantry in them count as 1 unit. units with beagle probes can scan buildings but will not get as good intel as boots on the ground.

I will have a points system to see who does the best. scan of a building will be 1 point. personal a building for 2 turns will be 4 points. defender unit crippled 1 point, destroyed 2 points. recon unit that gets off home edge 3 points. recon unit destroyed -2 points.

game on

Hey guys -

Jim, I hope you feel better soon!   Shadhawk, since Jim is under the weather, how do you feel about postponing it for a week so he can play?

Also, when you say standard infantry, does that include BA, or does it mean the buildings are so small the BA can't come play?

As for the campaign, the only way I will do the space intercept is if we play full aero rules, no abstract stuff.  IIRC, Jim said h'd like to do CSR as defender, DCMS as drop force, game to start when DCMS units hit ground.  If you go back through the thread, we pretty much defined everything, just never got it completely finalized and in one place.  Jim, please confirm or deny if my impression is correct.

I can not push it back a week .... the next week they have a turny and from what I was told the place will be SRO.

on the infantry bit yes non BA will be able to fir the hall ways. you can have BA as extra fire power/armor  >:D.

now for the last part it would be a space battle .... space map and all. full dropship / fighter cat fight.
now I ask do you want this as the droppers will have you attack force and they just may get vaped in space.

Crash, I got to that gaming store you mentioned.  It doesn't look promising.  It smells like the inside of a locker-room.  It's pretty small and looks like it's solidly booked during the weekend for card games.
