Looking at the Chiefs schedule going forward, and being hopelessly optimistic about it, it feels like going merely 10-6 would be a catastrophic failure.  This is largely because playing both the NFC East, AFC East, Texans, and Chargers looks like nine wins by itself, but that's why we actually play the season.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

I love Chicago. This is a fantastic town. I've been here for two Blackhawks championships and the Cubs making history.

That said, the Bears suck. ;D

It starts at the top. The McCaskeys are clueless on how to run an NFL franchise. So sad.

Exactly. The owners have made many, many boneheaded decisions, so the entire organization is suffering from a serious malaise. Deep down, nobody gives a shit anymore.

I take it the teams in bold print are your picks to win? If so, I don't really see any that can argue with. I think Tampa Bay vs. Minnesota will be close though and I wouldn't be too surprised if either team won that one.

Yeah, any pick involving the Vikes right now is a tough one- same as last week, it hinges on whether Bradford is able to go or not. With him, I think they'd have had a real chance to beat the Steelers- without, it was never really in question. Same here- with Bradford, they can make a pretty good game of it at least, and without the Chiefs will have no trouble. Probably the toughest team to pick right now.

Well. So. I suspect, when all is said and done, my picks (and most of the rest of you, let's be real here) are going to feature a little more red than usual. I seem to have picked a few wrong here...  #P

Brady does it again, dammit.  Oh well, that's 50 games saved in the 4th/OT.

It's incredibly frustrating to watch this KC Offense today.  Dustin Colquitt is definitely saving a lot of points, but a 3-0 turnover margin should probably mean more than a single score lead.

If Arizona wins tonight, it'll be even worse than week one for me.

Why the hell did I start this to begin with anyway?  ???

Interestingly, there's only two teams remaining without a loss (KC ans ATL). Five teams however, have yet to win (LAC, NYG, SF and the state of Ohio...because Ohio starts and ends in O!).

You played the Chargers.

I mean, look, they've been good- that shellacking of the Pats was hilarious. But if you're coming on here on a Monday hoping for people to fawn over beating up the CHARGERS... play someone decent, then we'll talk. All you guys did was have a bye week, really.  ;)

Oh god, who was that idiot for the Bears returning the failed kick and slowing down at the end to show off? I didn't see his name, but I'm pretty sure I'd have strangled his ass to death if I were his coach. If they'd lost that game in OT, you look back at the four points he cost you and start drawing up firing squad options.

Cooper. Though the Steelers' punter managed to help him out with that batting call. There was a lot of brain dead football in that game.
