8-5 would be good enough to get an extension from the Bengals, at least. ;)

(I should know better than to pick early in the week. I made those early, before Houston's catastrophic news, and it cost me.)

BUF@NYJ I don't understand either of these teams
BAL@TEN
TB@NO
LAR@NYG
DEN@PHI

ATL@CAR
CIN@JAX
IND@HOU WHY WOULD I TAKE THE TEXANS WITH THAT POTATO AT QUARTERBACK?! WHY?!
ARI@SF

DET@GB

I feel a losing week coming on. A lot of my analysis was based on asking "who do i not trust the least?" The reality is no one in the NFL is trustworthy. Unless it's picking the browns to lose or taking the over on +/- 1.5 shovel passes to Travis Kelsey.

called it. mistakes were made.

Man, the midwest got all grumpy with this crappy weather. The Packers cut Martellus Bennett and the Colts cut Vonte Davis. Weird.

Like I said, the Elliotte situation makes calling a Dallas game tough- they're not the same team without him (though their offensive line did them no favors- not sure he'd have made the difference in that debacle!)

Also, I hope Bill Belichick steps on a Lego brick.

I'm not sure Zeke's game of Will-I-Won't-I has any bearing over how thoroughly the Eagles are going to eviscerate the Cowboys on Sunday.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.

Well, he's announced he's finally not going to keep this back-and-forth crap up, so he's done until late December. Finally, our long national nightmare is over.

No question though that they're just a different team with him (usually- see game in Denver for exception to the rule). Will the Eagles win either way? Probably. But there's a hell of a lot better chance of winning it with him than without for Dallas.

(Then again, that O-line was the problem against the Falcons, not the running game so much. If Prescott is going to get sacked half a dozen times every Sunday, you could hand off the ball to one of Rommel's panzers and you'd still lose.)

Six straight losses for Denver. Been a long time since I've seen that happen.

And yet I still see fans on social media talking about how the division is still within reach, it's not over, they can still make it... how? Even if they do find a way to suck less than the Raiders and Chiefs, who are they going to reliably beat in the playoffs? And what games left on the schedule would Denver be favored against, that they could actually win?

Oi. What a mess. We expected the offense would be a bit rough, but that defense looks like they've all but quit.
