This is what happens when the interior decorator calls the wrong contractor to add holes in the roof for your new skylights.

I was not even in the same hemisphere, I have been out for over 12 years and I still say "say again" when talking to the wife and kids (just to give you an idea of how hard that lesson gets drummed in training ;D )

Heck, I was never in the forces, and I always use "say again?" (being partially deaf makes this depressingly useful). That, and "Do I turn left" gets "Correct", not "Right!"

Due to a friend's auto accident when I was in high school, whenever I'm checking oncoming traffic for someone about to make a turn (i.e. "Is it clear?"), my  response is "It is not clear" or "Negative" rather than "No" which sounds way too much like "Go".   :P

Yep, my first cricket coach taught us to use the calls "Yes" and "Wait" when batting because "No" could always be confused with "Go". I still use the calls "Yes" and "Wait-ting" to this day.

When I am co-pilot/systems operator for my wife (who loves to drive), we use "Clear left/right" or "Incoming left/right".
Incoming fire has the right of way.

The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming friendly fire.

I sometimes still catch myself saying "action right" instead of "turn right." ;D But that's probably getting more into Odious Personal Habit territory.

I was in a artillery unit FDC . . . and yeah, we waited for the FNGs to use repeat.  I do remember clear left/right since I drove the track rather than sitting in the dark in the back.

Think we might get a Touring the Stars or Spotlight On this week?

My first thought was "Cinco de Mayo is next week.  Maybe we can get Touring the Stars: Timbiqui?"  Sorry...misspent college years talking there ;)

While we have several Touring the Stars and Spotlight Ons nearly ready to go, I have to keep on Second Succession War non-stop.

That assumes IlClan isn't already in the print queue. They'll not be telling us either way. Too many times, product for GenCon launch gets delayed that critical week or so (like Levs) ... I blame a jealous Palladium ;)

I hope the 2SW book comes out soon. Maybe IlClan will be out before Gencon.

I hope also for another Combat Manual.

ilclan before gencon will probably require the intervention of at least a dozen saints, both houses of congress, and the expressed written consent of major league baseball.

I thought about holding my breath and stomping my feet until I got CM:Davion...but then I realized I would just end up passing out and wake up with sore feet.

Instead, I have composed a song inspired by 2SW...

Lessee, we'd need no more'n ten divine interventions:

Content:
Adrian of Nicomedia (arms dealers, butchers, guards, soldiers)
Barbara (artillerymen, military engineers and firemen, Italian marines, servicemen of the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces)
Joan of Arc (Soldiers)
Joseph of Arimathea (funeral directors)
Philip (Special Forces)
Quentin (bombardiers)

Production:
Francis de Sales (writers/authors)
Augustine of Hippo (printers)
Christopher (bookbinders)

Marketing:
Bernardine of Siena (advertisers)
"We have made of New Avalon a towering funeral pyre and wiped the Davion scourge from the universe.  Tikonov, Chesterton and Andurien are ours once more, and the cheers of the Capellan people nearly drown out the gnashing of our foes' teeth as they throw down their weapons in despair.  Now I am made First Lord of the Star League, and all shall bow down to me and pay homa...oooooo! Shiny thing!" - Maximillian Liao, "My Triumph", audio dictation, 3030.  Unpublished.
